Our editors test dozens of products every week, but there are still so many products left to discover, and simply not enough hours in the day to test them all ourselves. That’s why we’re building a team of USA-based independent product testers who can help us put more non-toxic products through real-world testing.
What does a product tester do?
As a Green Choice Lifestyle product tester, you’ll receive free products that we purchase for you and evaluate them using our testing criteria. Your job isn’t to write an article. Instead, we want your honest, unfiltered experience with the product so our editorial team can create reviews and buying guides that are as truthful and unbiased as possible.
Depending on the product, you’ll be asked to share things like:
- Your first impressions
- How the product performs in real life
- Ease of use and cleaning
- Materials and packaging
- Durability and quality
- What you loved
- What you didn’t love
- Any problems or unexpected issues
- Whether you would personally recommend it
- Anything else you think shoppers should know
You’ll also need to take raw, unfiltered photos of the packaging, product, and product in use. Think of it like leaving an honest Amazon review for something you bought yourself. You don’t need professional photography or perfectly staged images. We want to see the product as it really is.
You don’t need to be a writer
At this time, we are not looking for additional writers. Our editorial team will write the articles. After you’ve thoroughly tested a product, you’ll simply submit your notes, feedback, and photos to us by email. We’ll use your real-world experience to create the final review or buying guide.

The products will be ordered by us and shipped to you at no cost. You won’t be expected to purchase products yourself.

We’re looking for people who:
- Live in the USA
- Are genuinely interested in non-toxic living
- Are comfortable trying and thoroughly testing new products
- Can provide honest feedback, even when they don’t love something
- Are comfortable taking simple, natural-looking product photos
- Have enough time to properly test products before submitting feedback
- Understand that honesty comes first—we don’t want positive reviews just because a product was provided for free
